ORU loses semifinal by one point

The ORU Golden Eagles were shocked Monday night with the Western Illinois Leathernecks defeated them in an upset victory 54-53.

Terrell Parks of the Leathernecks scored the game-winning shot with eight seconds on the clock. On the ensuing ORU possession, the Leathernecks forced a turnover on a pass from Roderick Pearson Jr. to Michael Craion.

ORU failed to score in the final four minutes of the game and blew an eight point lead over Western Illinois; who was an afterthought coming into the tournament.

It’s official: ORU will play Western Illinois in the semi-final of the Summit League Tournament. After their hard fought 58-53 victory over North Dakota State, Western Illinois is flying high going into the semi against a seemingly struggling ORU team.

The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles men's team pulled out a gut-wrenching victory against IPFW on Saturday with a final score of 71-67.

The two teams were neck and neck for the entire contest. ORU would score, then IPFW; back and forth the game went, right up until the final seconds of regulation.

ORU Lady Golden Eagles eliminated in first round of Summit League Tournament

The Oral Roberts Lady Golden Eagles were eliminated from the Summit League tournament in an upset by Western Illinois on Saturday. The final score was 83-71. The Leathernecks came out and dominated the Golden Eagles from the start of the game. The Eagles never seemed to get things rolling.
