Scott Sutton now ranks as the longest-tenured basketball coach in ORU history, having just finished his 13th season of revolutionizing the program.
His Golden Eagles teams have posted 204 career victories, and Sutton needs only 11 more to pass Ken Trickey as the school’s all-time coaching wins leader.
Sutton also has earned four Summit League regular-season titles, three NCAA Tournament appearances and one NIT appearance.
Sutton recently sat down with Oracle sports writer Billy Burke to address questions and discuss the season.

This is the moment that you’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived, baseball season has officially begun! There has already been a few surprises (Baltimore first, Boston last for starters) that have thrown some experts through a loop.

This summer, from May 9-23,the ORU Missions department will send a group of students to Brazil in an effort to share the gospel of Christ through the medium of basketball.

The idea originally came from sophomore Kaytlynd Spangler, who went on an ORU worship missions trip last summer.

One day on the trip following a worship session, Spangler broke away from the team and began playing soccer with some of the children in the area.

In the past year, ORU has been diagnosed with an international disease: soccer fever.

The “other”  football has swept the school in a frenzy, causing  pick-up games to appear all over campus and the Aerobics Center.

However, its influence goes far beyond casual games played between a few friends; soccer has quickly risen
