Lift your remote controls in celebration, for some classic favorites of American television are returning to the screen.

“Boy Meets World” has begun filming a new spin-off show called “Girl Meets World,” with several of the original cast members, but no official air date yet.

“Whose Line Is It Anyway?” will return this summer with its original comedian trio.

When mentioned in conversation, “Boy Meets World” garners both enthusiasm and nostalgia among college students. It ran for eight years with seven seasons and 158 episodes. The original show followed the life of Cory Matthews and the love of his life, Topanga Lawrence.

When most newly released movies are jam packed with violence, raw language, drug abuse and rampant sexual themes, it is hard to find a movie with any real substance or applicable themes. “Les Miserables” (pronounced lay mizzer-ah or lay mizzer-ahbl) is one movie that breaks all social norms.

First of all, I am going to say that “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” is a top-notch, first-rate film that everyone needs to see, but I will also say that you should not see it if you have not read the book. If you are a fan of the book, or have at least read it once, it is always worth seeing a visual presentation of the material done in a manner that befits the cinematic medium. Remember, Peter Jackson is a fan of the books too, and that’s why he directed this film and “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy.

“Seeing Lincoln, because nothing says Christmas Break like a 2.5-hour historical film.”

That’s what I tweeted as I took my seat in the IMAX Cinemagic theater in Merrimack, N.H., alongside my mother, who begged me to see “Lincoln” after I had dragged her to “Les Miserables” (which was amazing, in case you were wondering) just a few nights earlier. I conceded and accompanied her to the film, and I can honestly say that the hype was not just hype. Though it is technically a historical film, the premise was very relatable and easy to understand.
