Architect of ORU Buildings to Auction Home Next Month

Frank Wallace, the architect responsible for the unique architecture on the ORU campus, is set to auction his home on Oct. 14. The house, located at 7750 S. Jamestown Ave., was built in 1980 as a home for Wallace and his wife and resembles many of the buildings at ORU. Any final bid is subject to the approval of Wallace before finalization.

Live Duck Makes Surprise Visit to Ducks (Susie 8)

On Sunday, Sept. 26, a duck was let loose on Susie 8, Ducks. The duck left droppings on the floor and in the elevator, eventually making its way down to Susie 6. Students speculate that the duck was a prank from another floor. Maintenance was called to clean up after the waterfowl, and the incident is still being investigated.

Rutland Announces Plans for New Engineering Facilty

At a press conference on Sept. 28, President Rutland announced that plans for a new engineering building have been approved. The building will be a laboratory extension onto the LRC and will cost $3 million. At present, fundraising for the building is in the private phase. Several Residents in Towers Stuck in Michael Elevator

On Sept. 23, residents in Michael overloaded the elevator aznd were stuck inside for an hour. After finishing a joint floor meeting, residents piled as many people as possible into the elevator. After calling Security, the students were eventually rescued.
